Several years ago when I first saw Walk The Moon perform “Anna Sun” live, I expected that they would be a popular band with the indie crowd. Never in a million years did I expect them to become the pop-rock powerhouse that they are today. Mind you, being a popular indie band isn’t a bad thing, I just haven’t been this surprised by a band’s growth and rise to stardom in a long time, if ever.
Walk The Moon‘s latest single, “Kamikaze” is a complete blood pumper from the start. Nicholas Petricca‘s vocals seem to find new and grander heights with each & every release and the beat is ridiculously energizing throughout the whole track. The video features an equally energetic Petricca dancing and bouncing along to the music, as well as exceptionally talented interpretive dancers who add a certain depth to both the song and video.
If you don’t like “Kamikaze”, I would consider having someone check you for a pulse. This song is an absolute blast. Walk The Moon may very well be the most dynamic band out there today.
Check out the new music video for yourself below and catch them on tour where they’re being supported by another one of our favorite bands here, Company of Thieves.
