A few years ago, just before the release of St. Paul de Vence release their sophomore album, Further Than Light, the Bainbridge Island-based band played a show at The Triple Door in Seattle (which also had the up and coming Courtney Marie Andrews opening). The band had just added a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter by the name of Lydia Ramsey. The Washington native has stepped out of the shadows and is working on a solo project.
Her first single, “Ghosts”, off of her upcoming album, Bandita, is a wonderful folk, southern-inspired track that invokes the depth of her heritage. Interestingly the video is shot in Vantage, WA and it gives an expansive, awe-inspiring view.
If this preview of Lydia Ramsey‘s debut solo album is any indication of the quality, it will be amazing.
Bandita by Lydia Ramsey it set to be released in February 2017. Check out her website for more details!
