I’d like to start this post with a side note. It was painful to type out the title for this, but Aaron Mannari (President, Writer) says my titles are boring and so…you gotta try everything once right?
That’s not why you called though, so let’s get to it. My love for Canada is no secret. If you’re a regular visitor to the website, you know that I have Canadian blood, Canadian family, I spend a ton of time there and some of my favorite artists call our neighbor to the north “home”. So it comes as no surprise that one of my latest discoveries comes from the Province that no American knows how to pronounce properly, Quebec.
Sara Diamond takes listeners back to the glory days of R&B/Pop. At least for a mid 80’s/90’s kid such as myself. Blu Cantrell, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, you name it. They’ve obviously all had an impact on Sara Diamond’s sound, whether it be consciously or subconsciously. Her latest single “Fool” is a fantastic example of that as she uses each influence to create something unmistakably her own.
Diamond had this to say about the single: “It’s easy to feel like a fool when we give other people the power to control how we feel. No one can take away my happiness except my own ego. This song is about taking my power back and becoming the woman I know I can be.”
Sara Diamond’s “Fool” is a flawless track that will satisfy every R&B craving that you’ve been having over the past several years.
