No better way to start the week than premiering a song, right? Well that is exactly what we have for you! Synth pop artist, Bryan Cox, better known by the pseudonym Soft Lighting, has teamed up with Lemonade favorite, MIEARS for his latest song, “Say Something”.
The track definitely has a throwback vibe to it and although we might be a bit biased here, MIEARS is undoubtedly the best choice to compliment Soft Lighting‘s minimalist sound, adding a spark to the tune that brings the whole project together.
“I met Soft Lighting virtually during my time with BLSHS,” Michelle Miears reminisced. “BLSHS and Soft Lighting have past released through Synth Records – label owned and run by synthwave artist, Teeel. A$AP Mob’s in house producer, P on the Boards, also co-produced three songs on BLSHS second EP, Hold On, and has worked with Soft Lighting in the past as well. This is how we all met – we became virtual friends and collaborators. I am really excited to have teamed up with two very talented artists who I respect for this song!”
After a year of silence it is certainly a welcomed surprise to see Cox releasing more music, as the Kansas City native has been on the tip of many an indie fan’s tongues through the past several years.
