The Knoxville, TN-based, Oh No Fiasco, takes the perfect combination of rock, pop and a bit of electronica and produces a sound built for massive radio airplay, but does not conform to the boring repetitive Top 40 garbage currently played. If you need a comparison, they have all of the makings of a blend of Imagine Dragons and Paramore with some Muse thrown in for flare.
Each song off of their debut 5-song EP, No One’s Gotta Know, is extremely catchy and is driven by lead singer Lindsey Stamey’s rocking, yet sensual, vocals and guitarist Seth Rowlett’s stinging riffs and solos, but do not think that this band is made up of only guitars and vocals. Without the bassist Thomas Boyd’s funky riffs, Colin Cunningham’s energetic percussion and Kamryn Cunningham’s melodic, electro-keyboard influence, Oh No Fiasco would be a hollow shell of itself. No One’s Gotta Know is a band effort.
Keep an eye out for Oh No Fiasco to make a splash in 2014. If this is any indication of their songwriting abilities, then it is time to be excited.
