Indianola, WA-native, Lydia Ramsey, has released a brand new single, “Back To The Start” which is a sweet, tender acoustic folk track that finds us transported into the singer/songwriter’s psyche. “I wrote this song because I needed a reminder to step back from the chaos in the world and to see the beauty in it again,” Lydia Ramsey said, “This world is awe inspiring, I hope we can remember how to feel that. And I hope young people just beginning to shape themselves have more options for finding and pursuing what inspires them most.”
And the talented Washingtonian is not just singing about giving young people hope, but she is taking it one step further. She is donating 100% of the proceeds from the digital downloads of “Back To The Start” to Reel Grrls. “Reel Grrls equips and empower girls, gender non-conforming youth and male allies ages 11 and 21 to engage critically and creatively with digital media to create positive social change,” Lydia Ramsey continued.
In addition to her generosity, Lydia Ramsey also was fortunate enough to have 88.5 KNKX Radio film a live version of the single. It evidences an honest, raw version of her subtle, emotive style that is often lost in a recording studio.
