At this point, you all probably know that we have a little soft spot for Charlotte Eriksson, better known as The Glass Child. We did a review of her last EP, This Silence Now, back in April (HERE), had a little chat with the lovely Swed back in May (HERE) and was named our Breakthrough Indie Artist Of The Year a few years back. The indie singer/songwriter (and pretty much every other type of artist) has released her new lead single and title track, “Coming Home”, from the upcoming EP due out in the fall of 2017.
The Glass Child has always been an emotional powerhouse with her music, but this song is so much more personal. It is about the pursuit of her dreams and what she had to leave behind to become who she truly wanted to be. We have all taken risks, but Charlotte Eriksson took a huge leap of faith leaving her home at the age of 18 to follow her aspirations of being an artist. This is her story. This is her journey. And she is thankfully sharing every moment.
If this is what we have come to expect from The Glass Child (and we have), then the upcoming EP, Coming Home, can be expected to tug at our heartstrings. We fully expect to be sucked into her story and you will be a part of it too.
