You have may have heard of Emma Jensen because of her first single, “Closer”, but if not, then you are in for a treat. The Norwegian electro-pop artist is back with a brand new single, “Make You Mine”. The ultra-minimalist track is everything you want. Her youthful, throaty vocals paint a picture of longing and the desire to no longer wait for better things. The background fleeting keys and muted, faded bass line create just enough ambiance to influence the mood of the track and keep intentionally keeps Emma Jensen‘s vocals front and center.
Working with Los Angeles songwriter, Tayla Parx, Emma Jensen was able to create a song that touched on the desires of wanting a carefree relationship. And the track, “Make You Mine” was Jensen’s baby. She took the track back to Norway to work with a couple of local producers, Earwulf and Kid Joki, who added their fingerprints to the song. And what came of it was a brilliant, warm love song that is free, expressive and sensual.
“Make You Mine” is an intimate and stunning track. Emma Jensen‘s stripped down style keeps the focus on the beautiful breaks in her lovely, ethereal voice and the simple, poetic lyrics that are direct and commanding. Emma Jensen is a potential superstar and if “Closer” was her knocking on the door, “Make You Mine” kicks the door open. Her potential is limitless.
