Earlier this month we featured a track called “Over You” by New York-based duo, Tropic. We had some pretty high praise for the tune, so it goes without saying that we are particularly excited to be premiering their brand new cover of Frank Ocean‘s “Thinkin Bout You”.
The cover brings a sort of effervescent magic to the track but maintains the R&B/Soul vibe of the original. Jo-B Sebastian‘s voice is flawless throughout and brings a different energy and life to the song. Jarel Hill aka Phuse‘s take on the melody is the perfect accompaniment, further proving that these two were destined to work with each other.
Tropic has several other projects lined up for 2018 (or so we have heard), so make sure to keep checking back on this dynamic new act. Without any further adieu, I give to you the premiere of “Thinkin Bout You”.
