What do you get when a German Producer and a singer/songwriter from Mississippi meet up? You get SVIBES, a brand new duo that somehow fits together perfectly despite the different worlds they come from both artistically and geographically. We are beyond excited to be debuting the first ever single from these two amazing artists, “Colored Walls / Fly Low”!
It may sound crazy, but just imagine if Damien Rice decided to make a chillwave record with bass lines that pulsate your soul. Sanders Bohlke‘s burly voice is as beautiful as it is haunting and the music Chris de Luca provides to accompany it will both relax and shatter you at the same time. The duo had this to say about the debut track:
“In a way, this song is about self-perception. Thinking you are one thing—autonomous, capable—and then being released into the world and realizing you were not what you thought you were. The chorus is some voice letting you go, but warning you to “fly low,” a nod to the story of Icarus.”
2018 has already provided us with some outstanding music. The fact that we get to premiere this track here at Lemonade truly is an honor, as I have little doubt that SVIBES is bound for something great.
