Since launching the podcast, it has been so awesome being able to fit in many more interviews than we would have done in the past with only website articles. This has also given me the opportunity to speak with artists from around the globe which is always fascinating to me. Even though each area of the world is unique, there is also a common bond that unites every artist. It’s not easy being a musician and fame doesn’t happen overnight. Every single one of them is a fighter and has a work ethic that often gets overlooked. When you aren’t blue or white collar, what are you? Society tends to categorize “real jobs” into those two sections while shrugging off the artists as “dreamers”. While there are so many hard workers out there in all different mediums, it is important to remember that many artists have day jobs too and are still fighting for their “dreams”.
Rachelle Rhienne represents those of us who have chosen to follow the path less traveled perfectly. Artists know that they must do whatever they can to get their name out there and Rachelle is no exception. Not only can she sing, but she can also sing in Spanish and on top of that, she is also a part of the new BBC series “All Together Now” as one of 100 judges from around the UK. As someone who was part of a small commercial shoot last year? I can tell you…it’s not as simple and fun as one may think!
It was so great chatting with Rachelle who graciously listened to me pronounce the name of her hometown wrong twice. Her Scottish accent is absolutely adorable as well, so there is absolutely no reason not to listen to this week’s episode! I also spin tracks from Lennon Stella, Jared Dylan, and Hafdis Huld.
