This week’s episode of the podcast features an artist we have loved for a long time here at Lemonade, Joshua Powell.
It’s funny although we have covered his music essentially from the start, I have never actually had the opportunity to interview Joshua. His love for the state he now calls home (Indiana) and its growing music & arts scene really struck a chord for me. So many artists move to music hot spots like Nashville, Los Angeles, New York, or even here in Seattle and who can blame them? I would certainly pick one of those. Hearing Joshua’s take on Midwest culture, however, was refreshing to say the least and quite honestly inspiring.
Joshua is such a unique personality, he’s whimsical, he’s sharp, he’s intellectual, but he’s also sort of a “dude” too. He’s someone you wanna hang with and chat about everything from protest music in the 70’s to what his favorite breakfast food is. At the end of the day, the guy just loves what he does and if that doesn’t bring a smile to your face, I am not sure what will.
Check out the episode which also features music from, Sonali, Amy Lawton, and St. Paul de Vence. Subscribe on Apple or Google Podcasts or Podcoin and tell your friends!
